Checking Our Stance
By Rusty Wilson

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Ephesians 6:10-11

It’s important to know when we are in a battle how our stance is, how well we stand in battle. We have been given the whole armor of God so we can stand strong in the Lord in the battle and protected by the armor of God that He has provided us.

As we read the Word of God and stand on His Word, which is what our foundation is built on, we are standing on a solid foundation, where we won’t be moved.

As we hear God’s Word and do as His Word says, we are like what Luke 6:48 tells us, …like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock. When the floods of problems rise up and tries to move us, as we stay on our faith foundation that is found on the solid rock, Jesus, Who is our Solid Rock (Psalm 18:2; 2 Samuel 22:2-3), we won’t be moved.

As we check our stance and know we are standing strong in the Lord and on Him who is our Rock, we won’t be moved unless we allow ourselves to be moved and one way we allow ourselves to be moved is by problems, cares of life. If we allow a problem that rises up to affect us, by causing fear to come in, we have become moved by fear instead of faith. We are to cast those cares upon the Lord for He cares for us (1Peter 5:7).

Let’s remember to check our stance and know how well be stand in battle, relying on the strength of the Lord and the power of His might and know we are OVERCOMERS through Him.
