Not Deviating From God’s Word
By Rusty Wilson

Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.
Proverbs 4:27

It’s important for us to remember as we read, study and do as God’s Word says, to not allow any open doors for the devil to come and steal the Word that is sown, by allowing him to distract us to where we are deviating (turning aside to the right or to the left) from the Word of God.

To deviate is to turn aside or wander from the common or right way, course or line. We know that in the world what is common isn’t according to God’s Word, so we must make sure of what is the right way according to His Word and stay on course by being led by the Holy Spirit, Who will always teach us and lead us according to God’s Word. He NEVER deviates from His Word, NEVER!

If we notice ourselves deviating and stepping into sin, Isaiah 1:16 the Amplified Bible says, Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes! Cease to do evil,… When we hear the Holy Spirit say, Don’t go any further, we must stop and repent, wash ourselves and make ourselves clean with the Word of God and cover ourselves with the blood of Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us back on course, back on the right path that God has planned for us to go (Ephesians 2:10) and to do what He has called us to do.
