Doing What God Says To Do
By Rusty Wilson
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
Jesus is our example, our prime example of doing what our Heavenly Father says to do. Jesus said, …The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise (King James Version). The New Living translation says, …the Son can do nothing by Himself. He does only what He sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.
As the body of Christ, we are to follow the example Jesus gave us, to do as God says to do. Go where He says to go, do what He says to do. Whether we do work in our home church where God has placed us or we travel in the ministry, it’s extremely important to do what God say’s to do through the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
We must remember that Jesus didn’t do the work He was sent to do on His own, He only did what He seen His Father do. When we do the work that God has called us to do and says when to do it, we aren’t doing it on our own, but the Holy Spirit is working through us to do the work.
