Forgiveness Is A Priority
By Rusty Wilson
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
As the body of Christ, it is vitally important that we forgive others when they do something against us. When we chose to forgive, we have chosen to Love as Jesus commanded us to in John 15:12.
When we refuse to forgive we refuse to keep His commandment, because we forgive with the Love of God. When we don’t forgive someone, we are keeping ourselves in bondage of what they did to us which was influenced by the devil.
When we don’t forgive, it effects our prayer life. It blocks us from receiving what we are believing for. That’s why Jesus said in Mark 11:25, And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any:… In order for us to receive what we are praying for, we MUST forgive or it will keep us from receiving what God has in store for us.
When we forgive someone, and let’s even go a little further, when we forgive a place of business, that’s right a business; when a business does us wrong, we are to forgive the people and the business. For one reason, we are to forgive and for another reason is that there might be a brother or sister in the Lord that we don’t know that is employed there and if we condemn that place of business with our selfish comments, that can affect their job.
We are to BLESS them that do things and say things against us and not curse them. Let’s make it a priority in our daily walk with God to walk and live in forgiveness.
