Being In Unity
By Rusty Wilson
Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
Being in unity takes commitment to love one another and keeping strife out. Unity in the Hebrew: unitedly: – alike. As the body of Christ we are ONE in Christ and in the image and likeness of Him (Genesis 1:26) We are to be Christ-like.
As we dwell together in unity and come in agreement on any thing that we shall ask, Jesus said it shall be done for us of His Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 18:19)
We need to understand that the devil will try to do what ever he can or what ever he is allowed to do to destroy the unity of the church, which is us, the body of Christ, but we have to stand together in unity and in agreement keeping the love of God active in our life and love one another. (John 15:12)
We’ve got to keep our faith connected, joining our faith with each other and staying in agreement, staying convinced and confident that no matter what the devil tries, he won’t succeed. Keeping our faith in God and standing on His Word, we cannot and will not be moved.
