The Blessing Of The Lord!
By Rusty Wilson

The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
– Proverbs 10:22

The Blessing of the Lord is given to us because He Loves us and we are obedient to Him. James 1:22  says, But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

As we do as God’s Word says and we are being led by the Holy Spirit, we will see the blessing of the Lord take place in our life.

Being a doer of the Word causes us to discipline ourselves daily meaning we have to at times deprive ourselves of what we want to do and yield to the Holy Spirit and do as He says to do. God is aware of what we want to do and are planning and He isn’t against us doing things as long as it’s according to His Word and won’t keep us from doing what He says to do.

Us receiving our blessing from God daily will depend on our obedience to Him. We can’t expect a blessing from God if we’re not obedient to Him. Being obedient to Him brings the blessing of obedience. Being obedient to God opens us up to receive the Blessing!

Proverbs 4:20 says, My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.

We receive the blessing of the Lord when we attend to His Word and obey and do what He says to do. We have to attend to His Word and hear what He is saying, not letting His Word depart from our eyes and keeping them in the midst of our heart. We read and study God’s Word and meditate on it, causing our mind to be renewed daily. (Romans 12:2)
